A Giving Garden

May 17, 2019 | by Sue Miyamoto

Some people are good at gardening and others are good at killing plants.

John Koier, of Underhill  has gardened since his twenties, and  is good at gardening. When John retired, his garden grew. He now has a small green house, a large hoop house, and a garden space that is 70 by 30 feet.

When he heard about Aunt Dot’s Food Shelf in Essex from a friend at Calvary Episcopal Church in Underhill, he thought it would be a good fit. He loves to garden and there are people who need food.

So his garden is becoming a giving garden and the primary recipient is our client’s at Aunt Dot’s Place. Thank you, John, and thank you to the friend who told you about Aunt Dot’s Place, a food shelf serving Essex, Essex Junction, Westford, Jericho, and Underhill.

If you are the type that kills plants, maybe you can be inspired by John’s friend. Tell others about Aunt Dot’s Place! Follow us on Face Book. Share our site with others. Just this week, I met someone in need who had never heard of Aunt Dot’s Place. She was so thrilled and thankful to learn about us . Please help us get the word out.
