Dear Amazing Volunteers,
You show up, week after week. You are essential workers in our mission to end food insecurity. You give your time and talents. You show up faithfully, with a smile and a generous spirit that our community feels. Our Evening of Appreciation for Volunteers and Donors is on October 8, from 6:30–8:00 pm. I hope to see you all then to thank you personally. We all come on different days, and it’s nice to see each other. Please RSVP.
We continue to meet growing numbers of people coming for food, and we face the challenge of rising prices and fewer meat donations. Amazing!
Our volunteer and client surveys are coming in, which is exciting. Lots of positive comments.
On September 14th, Kaki hosted leaders from food pantries in Chittenden, Franklin, Grand Isle, and Lamoille County. They met at Aunt Dot’s Place to network and share ideas from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 pm. Representatives from the Food Bank were there too. Kaki was also on TV promoting Vermonters Feeding Vermonters with staff from the Food Bank and our State Agriculture Secretary. She represents us well.
We switched from Comcast to Fidium for our internet and phone service, which will save us money.
