January 2022 Update

I want to introduce myself as the new President of Aunt Dot’s Place. I am very excited to lead such an essential community organization that I have volunteered for since 2019. My career in the nonprofit sector includes 20 years in various positions, including serving as Executive Director, Committee Chair, Board of Director Member (Vice President & Secretary) for several nonprofit organizations.

As we start a new year, we owe a huge thank you to the 2021-2022 Board of Directors and volunteers for their dedication, service, and leadership in making the past year a success. THANK YOU!

I want to thank Fran Kinghorn personally for her stalwart leadership and unwavering support over the past several years as our President. Fran guided and led Aunt Dot’s when we entered into new territory when the pandemic hit. Her support and contributions have positioned Aunt Dot’s well, and we owe her a great deal of gratitude.

Also, I want to thank Pat White (former Vice President) and Michele Scilla (Founder/Member) for their significant contributions. Board service is the most challenging volunteer role, and you both took on your Board duties with dedication, grace, and seriousness.

A board elected by you, the volunteers, governs Aunt Dot’s Place. I am pleased to share with you your new Board of Directors for 2022-2023:

Carissa Gump              President
Brandy Gratten            Vice President
Kitty Daly                    Treasurer
Amy Puchrik-Viens      Assistant Treasurer
Amy Boudreaux           Secretary
Betsy Wilder                Member
Max Seaton                  Member
Kathy Kenney              Member
Sue Miyamoto              Member

There is tremendous power in the size of our community and the many talents our volunteers bring to Aunt Dot’s Place. Collectively, I am confident we can fulfill our mission and continue to support our neighbors in need through our combined efforts and passion.

Let me close by thanking you for your hard work and loyalty. I look forward to serving alongside you.

Graciously,

Carissa A. Gump, OLY, MPA
Aunt Dot’s Place President
