Brandy Grattan is a new board member at Aunt Dot’s Place. Her passion is that we reach more food-insecure seniors and people who are disabled. This passion was birthed from her own experience with her father, who became ill, lost his job, and could no longer work. He became home-bound, unable to walk and had no money.
In her twenties, she tried to purchase food for him, and eventually went to a food shelf to be able to provide enough food for him. The food shelf where she went for the help provided support and even helped with food that would be good for a diabetic.
Brandy’s father has passed away, but her passion for helping the elderly and disabled has stayed.
