February 2026 Letter to Volunteers

Dear Wonderful Volunteers,

Thank you, everyone, for all your hard work picking up food, labeling food, stocking our shelves, working shifts, delivering compost, cutting up boxes, and making deliveries. Also, special thanks to our wonderful greeters, who worked in incredibly cold weather, welcoming our clients to Aunt Dot’s Place.

We had 317 client visits in January.  Also in January, we made 8 food deliveries to people without transportation or with mobility challenges. Some of these deliveries will be regular deliveries, and others will be occasional. For example, we recently brought food to someone who just had knee surgery, and who couldn’t work or drive during her recovery.

We also have an updated Shopping List, now available online for use in our delivery program, and we are working on a Swahili translation for one family. In other news, we received $3800 from Ace Hardware.

The board is working on committee structure and will be working on an advocacy policy for Aunt Dot’s Place.
