Dear Volunteers,
The weather is warming up, we are approaching a new season, and we continue in our important mission of fighting food insecurity.
I’m happy to announce that once more Robert Kurth will be planting a garden for us with money he raised. We will be looking for a small crew to help at key planting times, and to sign up for once a week for weeding, when the plants are in the ground. Let Kaki or I know if you are interested in helping grow fresh vegetables for our clients. We will also be back at the Because Craft Fair, which this year will be held at University Mall.
We are also starting to look at a team that will do deliveries to clients that don’t have transportation though the plans are not finalized yet. But if you are interested in this let us know.
Here are our statistics from February:
Purchased Food: $17,472
Purchased Food: 10,593 pounds.
