March 2022 Update

Your support of Aunt Dot’s Place continues to have an incredible impact on our community, especially through the challenges of the pandemic which we are still experiencing. We are a community food shelf. We belong to everyone throughout the Essex, Westford, Jericho, and Underhill area. We all belong here, and are thankful to be working together to support our friends and neighbors in need.

A few important updates to share:

  • Two First Aid Kits have been installed (one in the annex and one in the office area).
    • We will be purchasing an AED machine within the upcoming month.
  • Aunt Dot’s Place is a recipient of the “Vermont Feeding Vermonters” grant. We will receive $4,000 in funding to purchase Vermont grown/produced items to support our clients.
  • We saw an increase in active households who visited Aunt Dot’s Place last month (211 total) and believe it is attributed to the increasing gas and food prices. Our strong and mighty Food Committee is keeping a close eye on inventory and ensuring we will have food on the shelves for our open hours.
  • If you are out tomorrow, Saturday April 9, and like BBQ Ribs, be sure to stop by Mark BBQ as he attempts to sell more ribs than ever before. 20% of the proceeds will be donated to Aunt Dot’s Place!
